if i could paint the sky...
i wouldn't do half as good a job as You have
so i left cambridge all pretty and frosted (and cooold). TO LONDON! (still cold, possibly colder!)this was the day of the beautiful sky
on the train sitting on my suitcase feeling like quite the exploreroops
with a matching road sign
since moving up the hill in cam we pretty much bike everywhere, it feels really weird (and inefficient) to walk
and my favourite picture of the day.....
i think it encapsulates why i love london
some people find it noisy and dirty and the londoners too busy and grouchy
well i like it because it's a little rough around the edges(see that horrible block building there eew)
but it makes the pretty prettier (LOOK AT THAT SKY! and that cathedral pointing towards the heavens)
it is so full of charm.
and you cant complain about a place that looks like this at night.
the sun. on the train back from cambridge. went there today to show ron around cos he's thinking of applying...
ahh i love the holidays. i can't wait for thursday evening to come i'm watching the nutcracker !! alone but who cares i looove the nutcracker so much it is my favouritest ballet and tchaikovsky is my favourite composer so voila
meeting ling for lunch at the creperie tomorrow cant wait : )

why i love london
part 1 and more to come

yesterday i went on a semi adventure across hyde park ? is it even hyde park ? im not sure but i just started walking (with christmas carols on my ipod) and the sun was setting and the sky was just .. the most amazing thing i'd ever seen
nature's hues are perfect. i took pictures and i will put those up soon... stay tuned...
so i walked across and found my way to knightsbridge hooray and that was just in time to meet ronald and relatives. the kids r so big now !! i remember seeing them many CNYs ago and they were ickle...
anyway we went for dinner, nice chat
went home and i watched love actually because it's that time of year to watch love actually... this time i didnt cry. i bet it's record breaking.. the first time i watched the show i started tearing at the first scene hahaha okkaay sounds pathetic but it was really quite touching (the airport scene) with people hugging and being so happy to see each other (absence makes the heart grow fonder.. i suppose). it's pretty sad that we're built to take things for granted. it's in our blooooddd. even in the way we stop feeling our clothes on our skin 2 minutes after we put them on... oh receptors....
i love airports anyway (though i hate planes)
i went to sleep feeling all warm and fuzzy
it's really not so bad being alone.
im waiting for ling to text me so we can meet up because i dont have her number......
trying to decide when i should go to tate modern and such. london bridge is so far away though. perhaps thursday.

really trivial things
okay.. england is officially freezing over.
i am quite happy in london. it is more normal here. up in wychfield you just feel so disconnected from everything else. also, ling is in london !! and so is ronald !! i wish the whole rifle crew were here that would be sooo much fun but anyway one is enough and so we will go eat duck for dinner tonight. i loove the duck in london it is soo fat.and yummy. even though i dont eat the skin
tempted to make this white chocolate cheesecake but am resisting for several reasons
1) im highly likely to eat alot of it myself before i get the chance to give it away
2) no electric mixer
3) i dont have my usual ingredients stash....
nevermind. maybe i'll make it in edinburgh
hmmm at some point i think i should go christmas shopping and papa's birthday is coming hello papeee what would you like for your birthday? i wish i could make some tiramisu and send it to you but that is not possible i suppose
last night i watched bridget jones diary ha ha it is quite funny .. and half of vanilla sky but i fell asleep so dunno what happens in the end. i want to watch love actually cos it's that time of year to watch it and i love the mr bean part in harrods is it harrods ? it might not even be harrods but iknow it's london related
i've started watching six feet under cos iv heard people rave about it it's pretty morbid but funny and i love morbid funny so.... : ) ahh i'm in a good mood today . even though i'm going to mug till 5 pm cos i really need to. it's okay im in THE ZONE.
